Pete Bowyer has resurfaced at Davidson Ryan Dore Partnership.

Former Maitland public affairs chief Pete Bowyer has joined strategic communications consultancy DRD Partnership as partner.

DRD Partnership was set up in 2012 by the experienced communications professionals Claire Davidson, Locksley Ryan and Lawrence Dore. Davidson is a former boss at lobbying firms Gardant Communications and The Policy Partnership, while Ryan and Dore have both been directors at financial lobbying giant Brunswick.

Based near Westminster, the firm specialises in reputation management, crisis communications, litigation support, and national and international government relations.

Bowyer joins as an equity partner leading the company’s government relations and sustainable communications offerings. He was previously managing partner at Maitland Political but left the agency in 2017. Bowyer is also a former global head of public affairs for Havas and has served as Labour councillor in Lambeth.

He said: “It’s so refreshing to join a team of senior, skilled practioners working on high profile, global issues for some really exciting clients. Refreshing as well to have dived in at the deep end leading a pitch today with two more to come before the end of Week One.”
