Agencies do battle for British Land

The FTSE 100-listed firm could dump Quiller.

Public affairs agencies are battling it out for an account with one of Europe’s largest publicly listed real estate investment trusts.

British Land is reviewing its public affairs account, currently held by Quiller.

Westminster Policy Institute and Newington Communications are among the agencies to have been invited to pitch for the business.

The pitch is understood to be being overseen by head of planning and public affairs Adrian Penfold,

Quiller has held the account since 2012 and works alongside FTI Consulting, which handles corporate PR.

The FTSE 100-listed firm boasts £19bn worth of assets. It owns, manages and develops retail and leisure properties around the UK and offices and residential properties in London.

It most announced a “flurry of new retail, food and beverage lettings at Glasgow Fort”. These lettings follow the completion of the new £12 million Leisure Quarter (pictured above).
